Transform This Decayed Form

about

I may have bitten off more than I could chew with this track, but I made it anyway because I was too excited to try it. See, one of the most defining and important shows of my childhood was the original Thundercats series from 1985. There were so many things I loved about it, the music in particular being one of those things. I have a pretty strong auditory memory, in the sense that certain sounds stick with me forever. One of those sounds that's permanently burned into my brain is the gong sound from Mumm-Ra's theme. There was something about it...it's a huge, deep sound. A little cheesy too, but very sinister and mysterious nonetheless...I wanted to recreate those same feelings using the toolset I had available. I'm proud of how this one turned out, but I have a feeling I can do better in the future. This isn't the last song that will be inspired by Mumm-Ra. For wherever evil exists, Mumm-Ra lives...

I'm a queer composer and keyboard banger making mostly instrumental synth music inspired by prog rock, 80s pop, new jack swing, old video games, psychedelic dub, and even folk music from around the world! I'm living proof that anyone can make music, even with no formal training, no recording studio, and no rich parents!

I hope you enjoy my music!
