about

I wanted to do "an 80s themed song" that wasn't just another synthwave cyber-noir take on Blade Runner or Tron, so I looked toward the other major aesthetic from that decade for inspiration: Jem and The Holograms! This song was inspired by the look and feel of several Jem songs, and also by E.G. Daily's "Hey There Rocky"! (And yes, I do mean THAT E.G. Daily, the one who voiced Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls and many other cartoon characters from your 90s childhood; she's recorded a few albums of her own dating back to the 80s as well!)

Space Vixen Albany, New York

I'm a queer composer and keyboard banger making mostly instrumental synth music inspired by prog rock, 80s pop, new jack swing, old video games, psychedelic dub, and even folk music from around the world! I'm living proof that anyone can make music, even with no formal training, no recording studio, and no rich parents!

I hope you enjoy my music!
